This week during our Wrap Pro series we spoke about hater-aide. I want to talk to you all about the subject of QUITTING. What is it that makes you feel like you can't do this? Why wouldn't you be able to do what I've done? The fact of the mater is you can. Before we can even take the next step you have to understand that simple fact about yourself. Repeat after me: I AM WORTHY. I CAN DO THIS. I AM ENOUGH. Remember the words of Kami Dempsey, "I can do anything, but I can't do everything!" Okay, now that we've agreed on that lets have a tough talk here. YOU ARE NOT NORMAL. This COMPANY is not normal. "Normal" is broke, miserable and in most cases ignorant. "Normal" is barely surviving, living off the government and unable to retire. You are here because you have made the decision to be different. To BELIEVE in something different. We are the innovators, different is extraordinary, and you my friend are just that.
So, you know people who have quit? Maybe your team quit, your upline quit...or maybe YOU are thinking about quitting? Lets talk about that for a second.. It has been four and a half years since I started with It Works. You would think by now I would get used to the idea that some people- just won't make it in our field. I mean looking back it's not that shocking really, we quit most of the things we start in our lives. I know I'm guilty! I quit softball, cheerleading, student council - hell, I quit college 12 hours short of my bachelors degree! The differences are what get me. Quitting softball meant no more games, no more practice, no more team nights. It meant I didn't have to go to softball camp, I didn't have to squeal when the scabs on my knees from sliding would crack open. Quitting softball meant...well, freedom! I could just be your typical run of the mill, sleeps tillnoon teenager. I mean, it's not like I was going to go to college on a softball scholarship....or would I? Who knows, I quit that too anyways. When I stopped going to school it wasn't because I wanted to quit. I quit because I realized that they were training me so someone could hire me to build their dreams. At that point I didn't know what my dreams were I just knew it wasn't going to be sitting in some advertising office, working 65 hours a week for MAYBE $65,000 a year (if I was lucky and got my "experience"-odd thing-to get into the programs that give you experience, you needed to have experience!) It wasn't until I saw the potential with It Works Global did I really even LEARN what it was to dream...after-all, they didn't teach you THAT in college! So-you started a business. You are lucky, you started with It Works!. Good for you! You've taken the first step on firing your boss. Let's fast forward. Your Aunt, Uncle, Mother, Brother-"everyone" told you NO. Here's the good news: If you are fully prepared for everyone you care about to tell you no and it doesn't bother you-you're in the right place. Sadly, for most of us-the reality that the ones we care about most are not going to fully back us..is devastating. Even more sad, a lot of people quit. Why? Fear. What will people think? What will they say about me? I already spoke to EVERYONE and EVERYONE said no. Before I continue on with this thought (that came to me while watching Sherlock Holmes and forced me to miss what I'm sure were crucial details to my understanding the movie) I want to tell you something. This may be shocking. AS OF TODAY, ZERO PEOPLE HAVE DIED FROM HEARING THE WORD NO. Just like zero people have died from BLITZING- so go do it! Watch my blitzing video on youtube search Sarah Savidge. Still the maiden name Bizarre really. Noone has died? I mean some of those No's I've heard were pretty painful..right? I mean, remember that one lady at K-mart who said NO? Yeah, neither does she. Look, to be quite blunt with you-you are the only one dwelling on that NO. The person who gave you that NO already forgot that you exist. So, let me ask you this. What are you giving up on when you give up on your business? Yourself. Yep, you're giving up on yourself. You literally just looked in the mirror and said, nope. I can't do it. There is no way that I will ever be able to do what all of those people have done. I know that the company has mapped it out for me, given me a first to market product with a killer compensation plan and this super awesome support system to go with it...but I can't do it. I'm not worth that much money a month, I don't deserve it. -Say that in the mirror-you're going to feel like a fool, I'll bet my Mercedes on it. Dreams. Oh yeah...remember those? Those things that you only wish you could have? The feelings you wish you could feel? The trips you wish you could take, the children you wish you could help, the animals that you would save-yeah, all of those? Forget it. Not with your typical 9 to 5. There's no way. I mean c'mon-you tell me where you can go in America and get a six figure passive income with no education. Where? I'm having a hard time with that one too! Goals. The day you started this company, you started with a goal in mind. No, it's not the end of the world if you don't reach all of you goals-it's quite possibly the footpath to a deadzone if you don't strive to. Was staying at home with the kids a goal of yours when you started? Well, quit your business and you can bet your babies bottoms that you will be going back to a JOB. That means no nap-time with baby Frank, no walking the dog in the park for lunch- no picnics in the park for brunch! Whatever that goals was-when you quit working your business, you are making the educated decision to give up that goal. Desires. Remember how excited you were when you got your distributor kit in the mail? If your leader is like me they already told you that you should be out there licking the leather of the car or boat (OR WHATEVER) of your hearts biggest desire. Remember when you would sit and think "there is just no way she is making that much money." -if you are like me you heart would ache just thinking about all the beautiful ways you could spend, save, invest that money. You quit? Take that desire and toss it out the window because there ain't gonna be no lovin' for mama tonight! If only you could hear how I'm saying this as you read it. It could come off in a totally different way than I intend, I'm sure. That's just my nature-a bit brash if you will but always with good intentions, I promise. What I'm trying to say here is this... you started this for a reason. Regardless of when-that doesn't matter. Today, you have the choice to change it. Pack up those dreams, saddle up those desires and pat yourself on the back because I am here to tell you that YOU CAN DO THIS! What's it going to take? The need to succeed. You will NOT let this defeat you. On stage this January-right where you belong!The willingness to learn. The skills you need can be acquired. Leaders are not born, they are made, they are taught, they teach.Get over yourself. Whatever it is, whatever you think about yourself or why you can't-get over it. The only thing holding you back is you. Our job is to figure out what about you it is. Is it fear? Fear of rejection? Fear of failure? Rejection is a sexy beast turning you down for a drink at the bar. When that person says, I don't like your hair, you're not my type-that stings. That is rejection. Let's make something else clear-the only way to fail, is giving up. Funny how that works isn't it?Self development. Yep, it's required. You are getting paid to become a better person. We already know this business works, it's you we have to figure out!PLUG IN. Plug into the conference calls, watch youtube videos, read blogs, stay in the know on what is happening in your company and your team. Reach out, reach up, reach over-just REACH. There are hundreds of people in this company who honestly care about you!Success can never start until responsibility is taken. It's not your upline, it's not the product, it's not customer service or your computer-it's you. Look on the bright side, at least now you know! The next step is taking action and I believe that you have what it takes to do it! Surround yourself with those who breathe life into your dreams. After-all I know you are smart enough to know that you are the only one who can tap into all that potential, you hold the key. Hopefully I just unleashed the beast! YOU CAN DO IT PUT A WRAP INTO IT!
